+ Can’t I just take some supplements?

I have been practicing long enough to know that supplements alone are not the answer to transformative care. Transformation takes time, patience, testing, reflection and lifestyle changes.

+ How long will it take to feel better?

Short answer: it depends. It depends on what we are treating, your goals, and your compliance. In general, people start feeling better in as little as 2 weeks. A full transformation will take approximately 6-8 months.

+ How does Acupuncture Work?

Acupuncture seeks to release the flow of the body's vital energy or "chi" by stimulating points along 14 energy pathways. The needles cause the body to release endorphins (natural painkillers) and helps boost blood flow and change brain activity.

+ Does Acupuncture Hurt?

Acupuncture needles are very thin, and most people feel no pain or very little pain when they are inserted. They often say they feel energized or relaxed after the treatment. However, the needles can cause temporary soreness.

+ What about Facial Acupuncture?

If you have never experienced acupuncture before, there is no need to worry. You'll feel no pain or very minimal discomfort upon insertion. This technique uses the best quality needles from Japan for a painless acupuncture experience. The needles inserted along wrinkle lines are so small that we need to use tweezers to insert them. It should be noted that some areas of the face can be more sensitive than others (i.e. upper lip lines).

+ What does the treatment look like?

Each treatment involves: a facial and lymph draining massage, insertion of up to 40 acupuncture needles on your body and face, and an organic Korean facial mask.

+ What is cupping?

The best way to describe cupping is as a deep tissue massage with suction and decompression. The modality helps keep the body in balance, increasing overall blood flow and reducing pain. Some athletes use this type of therapy to decrease muscle recovery time. It is often used in conjunction with acupuncture.

+ What is dry needling?

Dry needling is an effective treatment for acute and chronic muscle pain, rehabilitation from injury and neuromuscular dysfunction. It works by using a thin filament needle to penetrate the skin and stimulate underlying myofascial trigger points. It provides pain relief and improved muscle activation by reaching deep into the muscles, releasing deep knots, tightness and tension.

+ Is naturopathic care covered by insurance?

Naturopathic doctors are covered by most health care plans. Check with your insurance provider to see if you have coverage.
